Nuffield Ireland has announced the appointment of Catherine Lascurettes as the new Executive for the organisation.
Catherine takes over from John Tyrrell who held the position for the past nine years. Catherine is a Nuffield Scholar, former Dairy Executive of the Irish Farmers Association and founder of Cúl Dara Consultancy which specialises in agri-policy.
Karen Brosnan, Chair, Nuffield Ireland said, “We are honoured to have Catherine take up this important role within the organisation. She will take over from John Tyrrell who has given outstanding service to Nuffield, and leaves it in excellent shape. Catherine is a 2000 Nuffield Scholar and has shown her commitment to Nuffield Ireland by serving as a Director, Secretary and Treasurer, and in recent years as a mentor to some of our new Scholars. Beyond her strong affinity with the Nuffield ethos, her experience in Irish agribusiness, and her engagement with agri-food policy equip her uniquely to help develop Nuffield Ireland.”
Commenting on her appointment, Catherine Lascurettes said, “I am delighted to be joining the Nuffield Ireland Team, and to start work with the Board, new scholars, alumni and sponsors in a challenging and exciting time for Irish agriculture and food. I aim to help Nuffield Ireland develop and implement its strategy to identify, develop and nurture potential world class leaders who will promote positive change in sustainable agriculture, food and farming”.
