]]> John runs a sheep and beef farm, with the main focus on sheep near Mullingar in Co Westmeath. He graduated from UCD with a degree in Agri-business and Business Development. He has served on the Council of the Irish Grassland Society. His farm was the location for the filming of the RTE TV programme ‘Big Week on the Farm’. John is also a columnist with the Irish Farming Independent.

His study topic was about Beef Production in South America and was titled ‘South America – A Time Bomb Waiting to Explode’, and he travelled to France, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina in researching his topic’.

]]> Thomas and his wife, Michelle, have been involved in the education sector since 2004 and are Directors of Infinity English College which is a leading provider of Activity Camps and Junior English language programmes in Ireland with a campus in Kanturk, Co Cork. They have three children Amy, Dylan and Ryan. Thomas graduated from University College Cork with a BSc in Food Business, returned to the family dairy farm in North Cork for a few years, before working as a stockbroker and hedge fund manager.  Thomas was chairman of Nuffield Ireland from 2006 to 2010.

Study topic: ‘Risk Management for Agricultural Commodity Producers in the European Union’. Thomas travelled to the US, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia and Tasmania in the course of researching his study topic.
