Jane Smith - Nuffield Ireland

Jane is a tillage farmer from Portarlington in Co Laois, and with her father they manage the home farm plus land in several neighbouring counties. She and her father have been pioneers in minimum til and direct drilling and they practice ECO Tillage throughout their tillage business. She has a Diploma in Machinery and Arable Crops and gained work experience on an arable farm in Kansas, USA.

Her study topic was ‘Soil Erosion Management and crop irrigation systems’.
