Jer Bergin

A beef, tillage and sheep farmer from Ballacolla, Co Laois, he is married to Margaret. He has been actively involved in the Irish Farmers Association for many years, and has held the positions of Treasurer, chairman of the Livestock Committee, chairman of the Renewable Energy committee, was South Leinster Vice President of IFA and was a director of Agri Aware. He is a currently a company director of Farmer Business Developments plc and the FDB Trust.

His Study topic was ‘Beef Breeding Technology & Practice in the Suckler Herd’, and he travelled to Australia, USA, France and Italy in the course of his study.
